Junior DevOps Engineer at LetsGetChecked

LetsGetChecked is seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer to join their team. This role involves assisting in automating tasks and processes under the guidance of senior engineers, supporting the engineering team in maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. The Junior DevOps Engineer will work closely with developers to learn and help troubleshoot issues, assist in monitoring cloud environments, and contribute to the platform's documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in automating tasks and processes under the guidance of senior engineers
• Support the engineering team in maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
• Work closely with developers to learn and help troubleshoot issues
• Assist in monitoring cloud environments and creating basic alerts and dashboards
• Participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud environments
• Assist with patch management of images and VMs
• Apply configuration changes under supervision
• Contribute to and learn from the platform's documentation
• Learn to implement improvements and best practices
• Assist in maintaining SLOs/SLAs and defining SLIs

Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (or equivalent coursework/certifications)
• Basic understanding of scripting languages (Powershell, Bash)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCE, Azure) is a plus
• Understanding of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux)
• Basic knowledge of network protocols
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and tools
• Interest in learning the existing technology stack (.NET, Packer, Terraform, AppVeyor, Vault)
• Awareness of security best practices
