Technical Lead (Backend/Fullstack) at Prezzee

Prezzee is seeking a Technical Lead to join their team in Melbourne, Australia. The Technical Lead will guide a team of developers to deliver secure, high-quality solutions across multiple tech stacks. The role involves shaping architecture, writing clean code, and managing CI/CD pipelines and production releases. The Technical Lead will champion best practices, embed a DevOps mindset, and ensure the team is set up for success through strong technical leadership and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and building expert-level code
• Designing & writing unit, API/Contract and behavioural tests
• Architecting applications with particular attention to performance and cost
• Encouraging innovation and fostering an environment of continuous improvement
• Providing technical leadership and support to a team of engineers
• Completing people-related tasks including 1 on 1s, performance reviews, and performance discussions

Requirements:

• Extensive experience crafting and building software using the latest delivery techniques
• Ability to design, estimate, and build high-quality and maintainable code
• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• A strong understanding of architectural concepts and cloud-based solution design
• Demonstrable ability to motivate self and others
• Experience working with technical and non-technical partners, with the capability to influence
• Able to architect applications with particular attention to performance and cost
• Experience mentoring other Engineers in best-practice
