Ably is seeking an Account Executive to play a crucial role in the company's commercial growth. This role involves building revenue through sales activities and owning the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals. The Account Executive will also contribute to defining the broader go-to-market strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Drive activity across the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing deals.
- Lead outbound efforts through cold calling, emailing, and creative tactics to build pipeline.
- Build strong relationships with developers and technical teams, understanding their needs and articulating Ably’s value proposition.
- Develop and execute go-to-market plans using a land and expand approach.
- Maintain product knowledge to confidently navigate technical discussions with developers and engineering leaders.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a high-growth environment, ideally within developer tooling, open source, or PaaS/IaaS.
- Comfort and confidence in outbound sales and cold calling.
- A track record of success in selling complex technical solutions to enterprise customers.
- A consultative, customer-first approach to sales.
- Experience working in a smaller early-stage company.
