Software Developer in Test at Orium

Orium is seeking a Software Developer in Test to join their team. Orium is the leading composable commerce consultancy and systems integrator in the Americas. The company is a remote-first company with over 250 globally-distributed employees and a certified BCorp for over a decade.

The Software Developer in Test will be responsible for developing a culture of quality, working closely with an Agile production team, and creating test plans and strategies. The ideal candidate will be passionate about testing and ensuring customer requirements are met.

Responsibilities:

• Prioritize and estimate work alongside designers and Product Owner.
• Identify and automate critical and repetitive test scenarios.
• Work with the team to triage and resolve bugs.
• Provide test plans for UAT.
• Lead the development of the Quality Assurance practice area.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest tools and technologies.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Effective communication skills.
• Understanding of Computer Science fundamentals and Software Engineering principles.
• 5+ years industry experience in automation and manual testing.
• Expertise in functional, regression, cross-browser/device, exploratory, and REST/SOAP API testing.
• Expertise in working with Selenium WebDriver, Cypress or other test runners.
• Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, SQL, testing frameworks such as TestNG, Mocha, Chai, or Cucumber, and experience with TestRail, QAComplete or similar test management tools is highly desired.
