Job Description

ESA is seeking a Biological Monitor to join their Biological Resources and Land Management team. The Biological Monitor will primarily focus on fieldwork, conducting wildlife surveys, monitoring sensitive biological resources, and collecting digital data. The role requires collaboration with team members and effective communication with construction staff.

Role Involves:

  • Performing biological field surveys and monitoring efforts.
  • Assisting with compliance with project permit requirements.
  • Participating in biological field studies.
  • Preparing and submitting daily monitoring reports.
  • Communicating and collaborating with colleagues, clients, and teaming partners.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of construction compliance monitoring experience.
  • Experience with species such as California tiger salamander, California red-legged frog, saltmarsh harvest mouse, or Ridgway’s rail.
  • General construction compliance monitoring experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary groups.
  • Valid driver’s license and experience driving 4WD vehicles off-road.
