Domo, a cloud-native data experience innovator, is seeking a Solution Consultant to join their team in Tokyo, Japan. The Solution Consultant will collaborate with a specialized team to develop innovative go-to-market strategies and design new demo interfaces and configurations that showcase the power of the Domo platform. They will also have the opportunity to provide technical sales support to partners, helping them acquire new prospects.

The Solution Consultant will focus on delivering exceptional sales experiences to partners by providing high-level field support. This includes understanding the needs of partner companies, reflecting those needs in demonstrations of Domo's functional and technical capabilities, managing pilot implementation projects, and collaborating with the sales team to develop differentiated proposals.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand customer goals and challenges and position Domo products as the optimal solution.
  • Collaborate with field representatives to manage the technical aspects of complex sales processes.
  • Present Domo's technology, infrastructure, security, and roadmap.
  • Effectively respond to RFIs, RFPs, and technical questions from prospects.
  • Validate customer requirements and effectively explain how Domo's performance meets those requirements.
  • Work with sales representatives to develop effective sales strategies for F500 customers.
  • Ensure the success of customer PoCs/Pilots through hands-on delivery, effective management of acceptance criteria, and problem escalation/resolution.
  • Educate and support partners to maximize Domo's success through effective guidance, product positioning, and transaction support.
  • Develop and deliver exceptional corporate/product presentations and demonstrations for both one-on-one and large audience settings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Sales Consultant or Sales Engineer in an enterprise software/IT/BI company, with extensive customer negotiation experience.
  • Knowledge of data in general (database RBMS, NoSQL, data flow, data mapping).
  • Knowledge of related applications, SaaS models, relational databases, and web technologies.
  • Experience selling analytics and BI solutions.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Ability to solve business and technical problems as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a dynamic sales environment.
  • Results-oriented, highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Entrepreneurial experience and attitude.
  • Ability to handle details accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Self-starter with problem-solving skills.
