Aspect Biosystems is seeking an Associate II, Human Pluripotent Stem Cell (hPSC) Biology, to join their R&D team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and performing projects related to hPSC-based cell therapies, reporting to the Scientist, Cell Biology.
Responsibilities:
- Perform aseptic hPSC culture tasks including maintenance, characterization, cryopreservation, and routine passaging.
- Perform and design flow cytometry analyses to characterize hPSCs and differentiated cells
- Execute scientific studies to support the development of hepatic bioprinted tissue therapeutics.
- Drive key program milestones and direction by analyzing data, interpreting results, and presenting information through experimental reports and presentations.
- Maintain clear and rigorous experimental records, including electronic laboratory notebooks.
- Draft experimental protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Proactively investigate and improve existing methods and techniques.
- Contribute technical expertise in hPSC biology and directed differentiation to shape therapeutic strategies and programs.
Requirements:
- A BSc. with over 3 or MSc. with over 1 year of relevant experience in cell biology or a related discipline.
- Experience in long-term hPSC culture is required.
- Aseptic cell culture technique is required.
- Must be available to work on weekends and holidays on a rotating team schedule.
