Associate II, Process Development (Bioprinting CMC) at Aspect Biosystems

Aspect Biosystems is seeking an Associate II, Process Development (Bioprinting CMC) to join their team in Vancouver, BC. The successful candidate will support the manufacturing and process development of bioprinted tissue therapeutics (BTT). This role involves assisting in the production of various BTTs and contributing to Aspect’s therapeutic programs.Responsibilities include:

• Supporting the manufacturing of BTTs in-vitro and in-vivo.
• Preparing materials and reagents for BTT processes.
• Assisting in process optimization and scale-up activities.
• Performing routine maintenance of bioprinting equipment.
• Developing and testing bioprinting processes and BTTs.
• Ensuring compliance with SOPs and cGMP regulations.
• Collaborating with R&D, CMC, quality, and regulatory teams.
• Designing and executing studies to qualify and characterize new BTTs.
• Performing data collection and analysis for process improvement.
• Creating and following experimental forms, SOPs, and batch production records.

Requirements include:

• A master’s in biomedical engineering, materials science, biochemistry, life sciences or related field; alternatively, a bachelor’s with at least 2 years of industry experience.
• Familiarity with biomanufacturing process development, including scale-up and optimization.
• Basic understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
