Canonical, a leading open-source software provider, seeks a B2B Events Manager to develop and execute event strategies across APAC. This role involves close collaboration with Sales, Partner & Alliances, Product Marketing, and Design teams. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology and its application in marketing.

The Events Manager will report to the VP of Marketing and be based in Canonical's Taiwan office.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a list of events for Canonical's participation.
  • Set KPIs to measure event effectiveness and justify spending.
  • Source cost-effective deals to maximize visibility.
  • Provide full logistical support for global events, including occasional travel.
  • Manage event budget planning and execution.
  • Create systems to improve event effectiveness over time.

Requirements:

  • Experience in B2B event organization (trade shows, customer events, webinars).
  • Excellent academic results with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or STEM.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills in English.
  • Hands-on mindset and passion for experimentation.
  • Growth mindset with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
