Data Warehouse Architect at Policy Expert

Policy Expert is seeking a Data Warehouse Architect to join their team in London. This is a hybrid role, requiring 50/50 presence in the London office. The Data Warehouse Architect will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of the unified enterprise data model within Policy Expert's BigQuery-based data warehouse. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge in dimensional modeling, star schema design, and semantic modeling.

The Data Warehouse Architect will work closely with the Enterprise Data Architect and Data Governance Manager to ensure the data model adheres to governance policies and best practices. They will also collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure data models accurately support their analytical and operational use cases.

Role Involves:

• Leading the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the unified enterprise data model.
• Developing dimensional and semantic data models aligned with business domains.
• Collaborating with the Enterprise Data Architect and Data Governance Manager.
• Driving the adoption of robust data governance and data quality standards.
• Engaging with business stakeholders to ensure data models support their needs.
• Acting as the subject matter expert on data warehousing and modeling techniques.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining enterprise-scale cloud data warehouses.
• Expert knowledge in dimensional modeling, star schema design, and semantic modeling.
• Expert SQL knowledge and proficiency with ELT and lakehouse architectures.
• Experience in managing data quality, governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Skilled in collaborating across technical and non-technical teams.
• Proficient with transformation frameworks and tools.
• Adept at balancing strategic oversight with hands-on implementation.
• Effective communicator with strong leadership skills.
