Highnote, founded in 2020 by leaders from Braintree, PayPal, and Lending Club, is seeking a Senior Core Infrastructure Engineer to join their team in San Francisco. Highnote is an all-in-one card issuer processor and program management platform that empowers digital-first organizations to issue and process payment cards, accelerating business growth and profitability.This role involves collaborating with other teams to build a secure, stable, and cost-effective infrastructure platform. The Senior Core Infrastructure Engineer will play a key role in elevating the organization's security, stability, and performance of services.What this role involves:

• Collaborating with other teams to build an infrastructure as a platform
• Building and maintaining cloud infrastructure stack and CI/CD pipelines
• Designing and implementing monitoring and alerting for the infrastructure

What Highnote is looking for:

• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or software engineering
• Strong experience working with GCP or AWS
• Experience with Kubernetes and/or Istio
• Experience with one or more scripting/programming languages, preferably Java/Python
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment
• Strong skills in troubleshooting issues in a highly distributed environment
