Staff Machine Learning Engineer - Growth at DoorDash Canada

DoorDash is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join their Growth team in Toronto. This role focuses on developing machine learning models to enhance DoorDash's pricing, selection, affordability, and growth strategies. The ideal candidate will leverage data and machine learning infrastructure to build sophisticated ML systems, implementing AI solutions for consumer pricing, restaurant selection expansion, promotions optimization, and marketplace growth.

Responsibilities:

• Develop ML-driven systems for affordable and fair pricing.
• Create AI solutions to optimize deals and promotions.
• Partner with engineering and product leaders to shape product roadmaps.
• Own the complete modeling lifecycle.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of industry experience in machine learning.
• M.S. or Ph.D. in a quantitative field.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Strong technical expertise in Python, Spark, and PyTorch.
• Experience with statistics, causal inference, multi-objective optimization, or deep learning (preferred).
