Cancer Support Community South Bay is seeking a Development Director to lead and expand its fundraising efforts. The Development Director will be a key member of the senior leadership team, reporting to the Executive Director/CEO. They will develop and implement strategies to meet or exceed the annual fundraising goal of $2.5 million and cultivate high-level external relationships. The Development Director will lead the Development team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.Responsibilities include:
  • Creating and implementing a comprehensive 3-year fundraising strategic plan.
  • Developing innovative fundraising strategies to grow revenue.
  • Managing and expanding a diverse portfolio of donors.
  • Cultivating and stewarding strong relationships with existing and potential donors.
  • Leading, mentoring, and managing the Development team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required; CFRE certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of fund development experience, including direct stewardship.
  • Proven track record in strategic planning and fundraising program development.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Knowledge of local funding sources and strong relationships with donors.
