Zynga is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Mobile Game Tech team in Barcelona. This role focuses on developing and maintaining scalable end-to-end products and services for the company's games. The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for building new products, improving existing ones, and fixing bugs in both frontend and backend services. They will also play a key role in architecting, writing, and reviewing code, ensuring code quality, performance, and reliability. The ideal candidate will collaborate effectively with teammates, contributing to an innovative environment of technical excellence.

Role involves:
  • Building new products and improving existing services.
  • Architecting, writing, and reviewing code.
  • Identifying and recommending improvements to address systemic problems and tech debt.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of hands-on software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience programming in RESTful services using Java, GoLang, Python, Spring, and/or PHP.
  • Experience with web development using JS and ReactJS.
  • Familiarity with mobile development technologies, C#/C++, and Unity a plus.
  • Familiarity with containers and Kubernetes a plus.
  • Familiarity with database systems (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting expertise.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
