Senior Underwriter (Excess Petroleum)

Job Description

Integrated Specialty Coverages (ISC) is seeking a Senior Underwriter to join their team. This role involves reviewing insurance applications and evaluating risks to determine coverage acceptance based on established guidelines. The Senior Underwriter will assess risk exposures, determine appropriate coverage levels and pricing, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

• Adhering to underwriting guidelines and pricing strategies.
• Approving or declining insurance applications within authority limits.
• Reviewing and analyzing risk characteristics on applications.
• Documenting underwriting files with risk analysis and pricing justification.
• Cultivating relationships with producers to achieve production goals.
• Collaborating with the underwriting team to finalize applications.

Requirements for this position include:

• A Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of underwriting or related insurance experience.
• Experience underwriting excess petroleum policies is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong customer service experience.
