Propel is seeking a Director of Marketplace Growth & Merchandising to shape the success of the Propel Marketplace. This role involves leading the development of ad placements, promotional strategies, and growth levers to drive user engagement and partner performance. The ideal candidate will balance partner revenue goals with delivering a great user experience.

The Director will report to the General Manager of Marketplace and work cross-functionally with Product, Design, Customer Success, Marketing, and Data Science teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and enhance the ad placement and merchandising strategy.
  • Develop campaign strategy in coordination with Marketing.
  • Own and manage ad inventory across app, email, push, and web.
  • Develop an Offers and Rewards strategy.
  • Build scalable GTM process around placements and campaigns.
  • Drive experimentation and leverage data-driven insights.
  • Identify, test, and scale new growth and monetization features.
  • Work cross-functionally with various teams to align growth initiatives.
  • Lead the Growth and Merchandising team.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in merchandising, growth, product, analytics/strategy, or ad monetization.
  • Experienced people manager.
  • Deep experience with growth strategies, performance marketing, and A/B testing.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using data to drive decision-making.
  • Proven track record of launching and scaling monetization programs.
  • Strong understanding of marketplace dynamics and user behavior.
