Highnote is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to focus on Fraud Prevention. The Data Scientist will protect Highnote and its clients from financial losses and reputational damage by identifying and mitigating threats from card transaction fraud and account application fraud.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough exploratory data analysis to identify emerging fraud trends.
  • Design, develop, validate, deploy, and monitor machine learning models.
  • Conceptualize, create, and refine impactful features for fraud detection models.
  • Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests to evaluate fraud detection strategies.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive monitoring systems and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Risk Operations, and Compliance teams.
  • Communicate complex analytical findings and strategic recommendations.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in data science or machine learning.
  • Experience within fraud detection, risk management, payments, or fintech.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Experience developing models targeting card issuance and account application fraud.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
