BigFix Engineer (Hybrid) (Job 902) at DLH

DLH Corp is seeking a BigFix Engineer to join their Endpoint Lifecycle Engineering Squad in Bethesda, MD. The engineer will collaborate across teams to ensure endpoint compliance, focusing on patching, security agent compliance, and Windows image maintenance. The role requires strong critical analysis skills and problem-solving abilities, particularly in integrating new products.Responsibilities include:

• Providing patching, release, and operations support for enterprise systems.
• Creating custom content in BigFix for software, patch, and configuration distribution.
• Assisting in migrating endpoints to Microsoft Intune.
• Supporting multiple operating systems on-premises and in cloud environments.
• Collaborating to incorporate Zero Trust principles.
• Setting up monitoring and reporting for required agents.
• Managing BigFix infrastructure.
• Troubleshooting server, software, and action issues.
• Managing endpoint onboarding and offboarding in Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
• Ensuring endpoint compliance and remediating discrepancies.
• Providing data for asset reporting.
• Providing subject matter expertise for remote package distribution and workstation issues.
• Assisting with documentation updates.
• Performing assigned tasks independently.

Qualifications include:

• A bachelor’s degree and seven (7) years’ experience or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years of systems administration/engineering experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience architecting and building enterprise endpoint management solutions using BigFix.
• Experience with BigFix Core/Inventory/Compliance, Microsoft Intune, Defender for Endpoint, Azure Arc, VMware, PowerShell, Windows Server, Active Directory, and GPO.
• Excellent time-management, organizational, and communication skills.
