PLOS is seeking a Senior Change Manager to enhance its change management capacity and expertise. The Senior Change Manager will drive change initiatives across the organization, ensuring they are well-contextualized, effectively communicated, and sustainably embedded. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, this role will shape and refine PLOS’ approach to change, providing both strategic guidance and hands-on execution. As a partner to senior leadership, managers and stakeholders across the organization, this individual will play a critical role in ensuring alignment across initiatives and developing frameworks that enable agility and adaptability as PLOS enters a new era of strategy and operations.

Requirements:
- Proven ability to drive large scale transformational change, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on execution.
- Strong influencing and relationship-building skills, particularly at the executive level.
- Deep expertise in utilizing different approaches and frameworks for change management, including agile and iterative approaches.
- Experience navigating complex organizational dynamics, identifying resistance points, and developing targeted interventions.
- Ability to embed change within business processes, ensuring long-term sustainability and operational alignment.
- Adkar® certification or equivalent change management qualification preferred
- Prior knowledge of scholarly publishing and / or the Open Science movement preferred
