PLOS is seeking a Senior Change Manager to enhance its change management capacity and expertise. This role will drive change initiatives across the organization, ensuring they are well-contextualized, effectively communicated, and sustainably embedded. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Senior Change Manager will shape and refine PLOS’ approach to change, providing both strategic guidance and hands-on execution. As a partner to senior leadership, managers, and stakeholders, this individual will play a critical role in ensuring alignment across initiatives and developing frameworks that enable agility and adaptability.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and evolve change management practices.
  • Lead and embed change initiatives.
  • Measure impact and drive continuous improvement.
  • Evolve leadership capability in change management.

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to drive large-scale transformational change.
  • Strong influencing and relationship-building skills.
  • Deep expertise in utilizing different approaches and frameworks for change management.
  • Experience navigating complex organizational dynamics.
  • Ability to embed change within business processes.
  • Adkar® certification or equivalent change management qualification preferred
  • Prior knowledge of scholarly publishing and / or the Open Science movement preferred
