Pediatric PMHNP - Part-Time at Backpack Healthcare

Backpack Healthcare, a clinician-led online behavioral health company, seeks a part-time Pediatric Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide medication management services to children and adolescents in Virginia. The PMHNP will be responsible for conducting psychiatric evaluations, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and monitoring patient progress. Backpack Healthcare specializes in mental and behavioral health treatment for kids, teens, young adults, and families.

Role Involves:

• Conducting psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents.
• Developing individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications.
• Collaborating with other healthcare providers.
• Maintaining accurate medical records.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience providing medication management for children and adolescents.
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health.
• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Current, unrestricted APRN license in Virginia.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
