Associate Director, Patient Navigator at bluebird bio

bluebird bio is seeking an Associate Director, Patient Navigator to join their Patient Services team. The Associate Director will engage patients enrolled in the company’s patient support services program (my bluebird support), assisting them with accessing bluebird bio’s FDA-approved gene therapies. This role involves providing personalized assistance to patients and caregivers throughout the gene therapy treatment journey.Role involves:

• Creating a supportive environment for patients and caregivers.
• Providing education, resources, and coordination along the patient journey.
• Assessing individual patient needs and developing education and resource plans.
• Educating patients on gene therapy coverage and prior authorization processes.
• Collaborating with Qualified Treatment Centers (QTCs) to ensure understanding of access and reimbursement.
• Communicating insights to refine patient and QTC engagement approaches.

Requirements:

• BA/BS with 10+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech patient services experience.
• Expertise in access and reimbursement.
• Experience working with patients and/or caregivers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of OIG guidelines.
