Senior Underwriter, Construction, Owners at Argo Group

Argo Group is seeking a Senior Underwriter for their Construction Owners line of business. This role involves production underwriting, marketing, and processing assigned lines of business. The Senior Underwriter will also participate in special projects and mentor less experienced staff.

• Underwriting and analyzing new business and renewal submissions.
• Ensuring marketing initiatives are achieved.
• Developing existing broker relations and establishing new relationships.
• Actively participating in client and broker meetings.
• Developing and maintaining a submission pipeline.
• Using market contacts to bring in business and gather market intelligence.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years of underwriting experience.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Advanced knowledge of computer programs.
• Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time.
