Senior Professional Lines Technical Claims Specialist-Contractor at Argo Group

Argo Group is seeking a Senior Professional Liability Technical Claims Specialist for a temporary assignment ending mid May 2025. The role is fully remote within the United States. The Senior Professional Liability Technical Claims Specialist will adjudicate complex Management Liability claims, report on claims trends, and provide technical guidance to lower-level associates.

Responsibilities:

• Adjudicating complex Management Liability claims.
• Reporting to senior management and underwriters regarding claims trends and developments.
• Handling Securities and Employment Litigation Claims.
• Analyzing claim forms, policies, and endorsements to determine coverage.
• Investigating claims promptly and thoroughly.
• Managing claims in litigation.
• Setting claim reserves.
• Identifying and coordinating expertise resources.
• Preparing reports for file documentation.
• Negotiating settlements.

Requirements:

• Good business acumen.
• A J.D. Degree from an accredited university is preferred.
• A minimum of seven years’ experience adjudicating professional liability claims with experience with exposure of $100,000 or more.
• Ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks.
• Excellent evaluation and strategic skills.
• Strong claim negotiation skills.
• Strong customer focus.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other business-related software.
• Polished and professional written and verbal communication skills.
