Isar Aerospace is seeking a skilled Fluggerätemechaniker (m/w/d) to join their Launcher AIT team in Ottobrunn, Germany. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the technically sound and punctual delivery of launch vehicles, from the assembly of the first structural elements to fluid and avionic systems, up to acceptance tests. This role involves close collaboration with developers and integrated testing teams at the launch base.
The role involves:
- Precise assembly of advanced aerospace components
- Working with state-of-the-art carbon fiber materials
- Testing electrical and mechanical components
- Validating the functionality of individual parts and complete assemblies
- Maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Detailed documentation of work processes
- Ensuring compliance with standards, regulations, and quality guidelines
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes
- Supporting test setups
Requirements:
- Completed vocational training as an aircraft mechanic (m/w/d) in manufacturing technology, maintenance technology, or comparable education
- Several years of professional experience in the field of aerospace
- Knowledge of bolting techniques, gas/fluids
- Good knowledge of reading drawings, spatial awareness, and a good technical understanding
- Willingness to occasionally work on assembly at various locations
- High quality awareness
- Resilience, flexibility, and teamwork skills
- High motivation to accept complex challenges
- Basic knowledge of computer and software applications
- Negotiation-level German skills
- Fluent English skills in spoken and written form
