Job Description
Isar Aerospace is seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanic to join their Launcher AIT team in Ottobrunn, Germany. This role is crucial for the technically sound and timely delivery of launch vehicles, from the assembly of structural elements to fluid and avionic systems and acceptance tests. The successful candidate will work closely with developers and the Integrated Testing Team at the Launch Base.This role involves:
  • Precise assembly of advanced aerospace components.
  • Working with state-of-the-art carbon fiber materials.
  • Testing electrical and mechanical components.
  • Validating the functionality of individual parts and complete assemblies.
  • Maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Detailed documentation of work processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with standards, regulations, and quality guidelines.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes.
  • Supporting test setups.
Requirements include:
  • Completed vocational training as an aircraft mechanic.
  • Several years of professional experience in aerospace.
  • Knowledge of bolting techniques, gases/fluids.
  • Good knowledge of reading drawings and spatial awareness.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for assembly work.
  • High quality awareness, resilience, flexibility, and teamwork skills.
  • High motivation to accept complex challenges.
  • Basic knowledge of computer and software applications.
  • Negotiation-level German and fluent English skills.
