The ACLU is seeking a Paralegal to join the Criminal Law Reform Project in New York, NY. This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week or eight days per month in the office. The Paralegal will support the project's mission to eradicate mass incarceration and structural racism through litigation and advocacy.

Role Involves:
  • Providing administrative support, including processing invoices and tracking expenses.
  • Managing travel arrangements and calendars for the Project Director and Deputy Directors.
  • Maintaining electronic and hard copy filing systems.
  • Drafting correspondence and other materials.
  • Updating the project's website and other public information outlets.

Requirements:
  • Initiative, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Commitment to racial and social justice issues.
  • Bachelor’s degree or a year of related administrative experience, preferred.
  • Prior experience working on criminal justice reform, preferred.
