Senior Fullstack Engineer, Integrations Team at CareRev

CareRev is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join its Integrations Team. The ideal candidate will design, build, and maintain systems that power external integrations. This role requires comfort working across the stack, with a strong foundation in Ruby on Rails (or a similar MVC framework), solid system design capabilities, and frontend experience (ideally React).

As a senior engineer, the candidate will play a critical role in shaping the architecture and scalability of CareRev's integrations platform, mentoring other engineers, and collaborating cross-functionally with product managers, design, and partner-facing teams.

What this role involves:

• Designing and implementing scalable, secure, and maintainable systems that interface with third-party APIs and services.
• Building backend services and integration logic using Ruby on Rails or similar technologies.
• Contributing to tooling components and workflows.
• Collaborating with product and partner teams to scope new integrations and improve existing ones.
• Participating in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical planning.
• Driving best practices in API design, testing, and documentation.
• Mentoring junior team members and helping elevate engineering standards across the team.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience as a software engineer with a focus on fullstack development
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails or another similar web framework
• Experience building and maintaining systems based on event-driven architecture
• Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka or similar
• Strong command of SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g., Postgres, MySQL)
• Solid understanding of system design, data modeling, and building scalable APIs
• Experience integrating with third-party APIs (REST, GraphQL, webhooks)
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
