Staff Engineer - AI (Remote) at Pair Team

Pair Team is seeking a Staff Engineer - AI to focus on AI-powered experiences that improve patient outcomes and scale care teams. The Staff Engineer will prototype and launch zero-to-one AI features, leveraging knowledge of AI models and tools to design intelligent workflows and automate decision-making.

The Staff Engineer will be responsible for:

• Driving end-to-end development of AI-powered features.
• Leading rapid prototyping efforts.
• Applying modern AI patterns.
• Building robust evaluation pipelines.
• Setting technical direction and mentoring others.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a builder in a startup environment.
• Familiarity with AI tools and frameworks.
• Ability to lead teams from zero to one.
• Skilled in evaluating model performance.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails or similar backend frameworks (a plus).
• Passionate about building technology that improves care.
