Forge is seeking a Global Payroll and Compensation Specialist to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing across multiple countries and support compensation strategy. This role requires a hybrid work schedule, with 2-3 days per week in the San Francisco, CA office.
The Global Payroll and Compensation Specialist will navigate complex tax regulations, labor laws, and company policies to maintain seamless payroll operations. In addition to managing payroll accuracy, they will analyze compensation structures, benchmark salaries, and help ensure competitive and equitable pay practices. Collaborating with HR, finance, and external providers, they will resolve payroll discrepancies and optimize processes.
Responsibilities:
- Own and process all payrolls, including biweekly regular payroll, monthly RSU releases, quarterly commissions, and monthly European payroll.
- Lead the vendor evaluation for international payroll.
- Own payroll-related agency reporting and payroll audits for SOX and external audit.
- Assist with pricing new roles and general compensation projects and analysis
- Partner with Finance for payroll audits and reconciliations.
Requirements:
- 5-8 years of experience in full cycle global payroll and compensation analysis and benchmarking
- Strong knowledge of ADP Workforce Now
- Understanding of multi-state laws and taxes, and their impact on financial and statutory reporting
- Familiarity with compensation frameworks, salary benchmarking tools (e.g., Radford, Compensia, Pave, and job evaluation methods
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks, meet payroll-related deadlines, and effectively handle high-pressure environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis)
