Team Rubicon is seeking an Associate, Operations to join their Programs x Domestic Ops - East Branch team. This role is crucial for enhancing the organization's ability to respond rapidly to disasters within the Greater Houston and San Antonio Metro Areas in Texas. The Associate, Operations will work collaboratively within their team and on cross-functional teams, managing competing priorities and keeping stakeholders informed.He/she will build relationships with community partners in emergency management, VOAD, and local disaster assistance organizations. The role involves motivating and inspiring coworkers, contractors, volunteer leaders, and volunteers to further Team Rubicon's service delivery.Responsibilities:
  • Execute Team Rubicon’s strategy to enhance disaster response capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with disaster assistance organizations.
  • Support program delivery of the leadership lifecycle.
  • Manage purchasing and expenses according to the Branch budget plan.
  • Serve as a key member of the Emergency Operations Team (EOT) during disaster situations.
  • Coordinate response activities with local, state, federal, and non-governmental agencies.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in the military, disaster response, emergency management, or first responder fields.
  • Proven record of personnel management experience.
  • Proficiency with technology tools for remote communication and coordination.
  • Successful past performance in leading volunteers is highly desired.
