Roofr is seeking a VP of Product Design to lead its growing Design and Research function. The VP will be responsible for building, scaling, and nurturing a high-performing team of Product Designers and UX Researchers. This role involves collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Growth, and Engineering to deliver seamless, user-first experiences. This is a critical leadership role that will help shape Roofr's design culture and scale its product experience as the company doubles down on its PLG strategy.
What this role involves:
- Defining and driving Roofr’s design strategy, aligning user needs with business goals
- Partnering closely with Product, Growth and Engineering to create intuitive, high-performing experiences
- Leading and growing a multidisciplinary team of designers and researchers across multiple product lines
- Establishing and evolving design systems and processes to ensure quality and consistency at scale
- Embedding research into the product development lifecycle
- Championing a customer-first, data-informed, and experimentation-led mindset
- Acting as a voice of design and user experience at the executive level and board meetings
- Setting team goals, driving performance, and supporting individual career growth and mentorship
- Hiring, onboarding, and developing world-class design and research talent
- Collaborating with GTM and brand teams to ensure product experiences align with brand and messaging
- Fostering a transparent and collaborative working environment
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in product design, with at least 3–5 years in leadership roles
- Experience leading B2B SaaS design teams, ideally in growth-stage startups
- Proven track record of success in a Product-Led Growth (PLG) environment
- Strong foundation in UX, interaction design, and product thinking
- Experience building and managing design and research teams from the ground up
- Ability to influence company-wide initiatives through storytelling and vision
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Product, Engineering, and Marketing
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and fast-changing environments
- Experience working on self-serve user journeys and onboarding flows
