Cortica is seeking a Behavior Interventionist to join their expanding team in Houston, Texas. This role involves providing direct behavior therapy services to individuals with autism as part of a multidisciplinary team. Cortica is a healthcare company focused on treating children with neurodevelopmental differences.
- Providing direct implementation of behavior-analytic services to children with autism spectrum disorder in 1:1 and group settings.
- Implementing positive behavior strategies as developed with the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Working in various settings such as home, community, school, or clinic.
- Fulfilling all documentation requirements, including data collection and session notes.
- Assisting with individualized assessment procedures.
- Working with families to establish a supportive environment for treatment.
- Following Cortica crisis and emergency procedures.
- Maintaining professionalism in communication and demeanor.
- Experience working with children, preferably those with autism.
- Ideally, a bachelor’s degree in a human service field (or related); relevant work experience may be considered.
- RBT or BCAT certification, or willingness to obtain BCAT credential via Cortica’s training program.
- Availability to work some days, late afternoons, and evenings.
- Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Proficiency in using software and systems, including electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations is preferred.
