HedgeServ is seeking a Private Equity Intern to join their team in Dallas, TX. HedgeServ is a leading global fund administrator that optimizes clients’ experience using unique proprietary technology. The intern will work within the Private Equity Department, which services a mix of private equity, real estate, and hybrid structures.

The Private Equity Intern will work under the supervision of a Private Equity Supervisor and will receive tailored induction training and on-the-job technical training.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the production of quarterly NAV, ensuring completion of specified tasks per NAV PE checklists
• Prepare investor P&L allocations as part of monthly and quarterly NAV packages
• Assist in calculating and processing capital calls, capital distributions and statements for closed-end funds
• Perform cash, position and market value reconciliations
• Escalate fund accounting issues and aged items to the Private Equity Supervisor
• Work with the Private Equity Supervisor in calculating and processing income and expense accruals, including trading accruals
• Comply with HedgeServ’s defined checklists, procedures and controls
• Assist in the quarterly financial statement preparation
• Converse and liaise with internal service departments to resolve miscellaneous fund issues

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Business Degree
• IT Literate with an emphasis on Excel
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and well organized
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
