Johnson Controls is seeking a Technical Sales professional for their Fire Systems division in Cedar Rapids, IA. What the role involves:
  • Estimating job bids and preparing proposals for contractors, architects, and building owners.
  • Coordinating with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Completing sales calls to generate new business and build on existing relationships.
  • Presenting solutions to customers for consideration.
  • Collecting and analyzing market intelligence.
  • Turning projects over to the operations team for execution and installations.


Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with a major in business, engineering, or construction management and graduating by December 2024 or May/June 2025.
  • Strong analytical ability to solve problems and ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams with minimum guidance.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency.


What Johnson Controls offers:
  • Competitive salary starting at $56k base, plus guaranteed commission and sign-on bonus with total compensation of $83k.
