Johnson Controls is seeking a Technical Sales professional for their Fire Systems division in Cleveland, OH. This role is part of the Early Career Sales Engineering (BEST) Program, a 6-month technical sales development program designed for recent college graduates. The successful candidate will focus on creating market share by strategically selling Johnson Controls’ Fire products and services to commercial customers.

Role involves:
  • Estimating job bids and preparing proposals.
  • Coordinating with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Making sales calls to generate new business.
  • Presenting solutions to customers.
  • Collecting and analyzing market intelligence.
  • Turning projects over to operations team.

Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or construction management and graduating by December 2024 or May/June 2025.
  • Strong analytical ability to solve problems and learn quickly.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree, strongly preferred.
  • Previous sales, engineering or business experiences through co-ops, internships, part-time or full-time jobs

  • Competitive salary starting at $56k base, plus guaranteed commission and sign-on bonus with total compensation of $83k.
