M&S Engineering is seeking a highly organized and energetic Electric Distribution Designer for a non-exempt position. The role involves producing electric distribution field designs, staking of distribution facilities, project estimation, and preparation of construction prints using electronic design/estimation software, adhering to the client’s standards and specifications. This is an onsite position reporting to the office.

Responsibilities include:

• Representing M&S Engineering professionally when meeting with property owners and other firms.
• Staying updated with changing technologies and design methodologies.
• Mentoring other staff members.
• Designing both overhead and underground electric distribution facilities.
• Performing distribution line design calculations.
• Taking responsibility for the quality and accuracy of work.
• Managing multiple projects and priorities.
• Using computer software including MS Office.
• Communicating effectively.
• Managing time effectively.
• Working outdoors in various conditions.

Requirements include:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• Current Texas Driver’s License with an insurable driving record.
