M&S Engineering is seeking a highly organized and energetic Electric Distribution Designer for a non-exempt position in Midland, TX. The Electric Distribution Designer will be responsible for producing electric distribution field designs, staking of distribution facilities, project estimation, and preparation of construction prints using electronic design/estimation software, adhering to the client's standards and specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Producing electric distribution field designs.
• Staking of distribution facilities.
• Project estimation.
• Preparing construction prints using electronic design/estimation software.
• Representing M&S Engineering professionally when meeting with property owners and other firms.
• Staying updated with changing technologies and design methodologies.
• Mentoring other staff members.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• Current Texas Driver’s License with an insurable driving record.
• Proficiency in designing overhead and underground electric distribution facilities.
• Ability to perform distribution line design calculations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Effective communication skills.
• Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities.
• Ability to work outdoors in various climate conditions and travel.
