M&S Engineering is seeking a highly organized and energetic individual for the position of Electric Distribution Designer Trainee. This role involves being mentored by experienced Electric Distribution Designers to learn the processes for creating electric distribution field designs, staking distribution facilities, estimating project costs, and preparing construction prints using electronic design/estimation software, all while adhering to the client's construction standards and specifications.

The position is located in Georgetown, TX and reports to the office. It is not a remote position.

Responsibilities include:

• Representing M&S Engineering professionally when interacting with property owners, engineering firms, and construction resources.
• Staying updated with evolving technologies, work planning, and design methodologies related to Electric Distribution Design.
• Taking responsibility for the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of work.
• Demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Managing multiple projects with varying design requirements and priorities.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook and working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
• Working outdoors for extended periods in diverse weather conditions and traveling, including overnight stays.
• Walking across various terrains and carrying surveying instruments and staking equipment.
• Using tools to clear brush or perform shallow excavation to locate property identifiers.

Requirements include:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• Possession of a current Texas Driver’s License with an insurable driving record.
