M&S Engineering is seeking a highly organized and energetic individual for the position of Electric Distribution Designer Trainee. This role is based in Midland, TX, and involves working under the guidance of experienced designers to learn the processes for electric distribution field designs, staking, project estimation, and construction print preparation.

The Electric Distribution Designer Trainee will report to the office and is not a remote position.

Responsibilities:

• Representing M&S Engineering professionally when meeting with property owners, engineering firms, and construction resources.
• Staying updated with changing technologies and design methodologies in electric distribution design.
• Taking responsibility for the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of work.
• Demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Managing multiple projects with varying requirements and priorities.
• Proficiently using MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Working outdoors in various climate conditions and traveling, including overnight stays.
• Walking across various terrains and carrying surveying and staking equipment.
• Using tools to clear brush or perform shallow excavation for property identification.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• Possession of a current Texas Driver’s License with an insurable driving record.
