Sherwood Surveying & S.U.E., LLC is seeking a Subsurface Utility Engineer (SUE) Technician for their Spring Branch, Texas location. This role involves designating buried utilities using advanced geophysical technologies, interpreting subsurface information, and ensuring safety. The SUE Technician will support both Surveying and SUE departments, requiring cross-training in both areas.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the safety of all crew members, clients, and the public.
• Operating utility line locating equipment.
• Researching utility company records and performing field observations.
• Understanding project goals, scope of work, and client expectations.
• Excavating utilities and following applicable guidelines.
• Operating and maintaining Surveying and SUE equipment.
• Interpreting subsurface information in the field and during post-processing.
• Communicating findings and analysis.
• Operating company vehicle safely.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required), Associates Degree or higher (preferred).
• Ability to work outside in all seasons for extended periods.
• Ability to travel overnight within Texas.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
