Forage, a company focused on building modern payments stack that powers inclusive commerce, is seeking a Business Development Lead. This role is crucial for scaling the revenue function and expanding the portfolio of merchants and partners. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, adaptable, and persistent, with a desire to quickly learn and become an expert in new concepts. They will be a team-oriented culture builder capable of strategic thinking and efficient execution.

Role Involves:
  • Building Forage’s top-of-funnel business development pipeline for grocery retailers and platforms.
  • Targeting and prioritizing enterprise accounts with long sales cycles.
  • Strategically managing Forage’s lead generation clients and partnerships.
  • Conducting outbound email and cold calling campaigns.
  • Building and owning Forage’s conference strategy.
  • Collaborating with BD team members to build strategy and measure campaign performance.
  • Working with the Revenue Operations Manager to build out & maintain CRM.
  • Owning the entire inbound lead channel and building out efficient process for qualification.

Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of professional experience within Business Development, Sales, Retail, Private Wealth Management, Big Tech, Banking or Consulting
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Comfortable working independently in ambiguous environments
  • Comfortable with outbound calls and emails
  • Interest in ecommerce, payments, and SNAP / Cash EBT
  • Experience with CRM tools, or the desire to dive in and learn quickly
  • Attention to detail, with excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Excitement about working in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Positive attitude with the desire to solve tough challenges and contribute to a collaborative culture
