Job Description
OffSec, founded by the creators of Kali Linux, is seeking an experienced cybersecurity professional to work as an Ad Hoc Contract Cyber Security Instructor. This role involves delivering live, instructor-led training programs that prepare learners for OffSec courses and certifications. The position is contract-based and offered on an as-needed basis, with opportunities to teach both online and in person.
Role involves:
- Delivering live, instructor-led training programs aligned with OffSec course content.
- Facilitating hands-on labs and providing real-time support.
- Explaining cybersecurity concepts to learners with varying experience levels.
- Adapting teaching methods for online and in-person formats.
- Fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborating with OffSec staff to ensure high-quality course delivery.
- Providing feedback on course content and suggesting improvements.
- Representing OffSec professionally during training engagements.
- Staying current with industry trends and emerging threats.
Requirements:
- Holds relevant OffSec certifications (e.g., OSCP for PEN-200, OSDA for SOC-200).
- Has hands-on experience in the cybersecurity field.
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to cybersecurity and knowledge sharing.
- Proven ability to design and develop instructional materials.
- Skilled in delivering training in both in-person and remote environments.
- Holds a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Must successfully complete the OffSec Instructor Bootcamp.
