Research Associate I

Ultima Genomics is seeking a Research Associate I to join their Nucleotide Process Chemistry team. The candidate will be involved in the production of high-quality chemical intermediates within a regulated environment. This role offers hands-on experience in the chemical manufacturing industry, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Role Involves:
• Operating and monitoring chemical production equipment.
• Following SOPs and batch records.
• Scaling-up production and purification using various chromatography techniques.
• Maintaining quality standards through in-process testing.
• Preparing buffers and mobile phases.
• Assisting with equipment maintenance and SOP updates.
• Participating in training and adhering to safety regulations.
• Managing chemical inventory.

Requirements:
• BS or MS in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 1-year hands-on experience in a synthetic or process chemistry environment (or recent MS graduate).
• Ability to perform small-molecule organic chemistry reactions.
• Collaborative team player with good communication skills.
• Meticulous and detail-oriented.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
