Solar Field Service Technician - Fort Lauderdale / Miami

Job Description

Palmetto is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician to ensure customer satisfaction by resolving system performance issues. The technician will work with the Services team to provide on-site troubleshooting and repair of solar systems, document visits, and schedule site visits with customers. They will also collaborate with local field teams and the Customer Experience team to optimize resolution times and improve installation quality.

Role Involves:

• Providing on-site troubleshooting and repair of solar systems.
• Documenting visits and completing job close out reports.
• Scheduling site visits directly with the customer when required.
• Working with local field teams and central scheduling to optimize resolutions times.
• Providing feedback to field team leadership, driving continuous improvement of Palmetto’s installation quality and execution.
• Assisting with close out of pre-energization issues.
• Providing feedback to Palmetto’s Customer Experience team.
• Completing other tasks as needed, including physical site surveys, inspections, and document collection.
• Performing O&M work and monitoring support.
• Performing site surveys/site visits.
• Performing partner and internal field training.
• Performing safety and quality site audits and JCO reviews and manage/site inspections.
• Performing field installations including PV, storage, MPU or structural upgrade.
• Performing damage and claims investigations.

Requirements:

• Electrical License (only required in MA, a plus elsewhere)
• 3+ years of installing, repairing, and troubleshooting residential solar & storage systems.
• General knowledge of residential home maintenance and repair.
• Must have a valid unrestricted driver’s license.
