Groupon is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team in Warsaw. This role involves preparing statutory Trial Balances for international entities, supporting audits of financial statements, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and local GAAP. The Senior Accountant will partner with various teams, including Legal, Tax, and HR, and focus on process improvement and automation. The role involves:
- Preparation of statutory Trial Balances for international entities.
- Supporting audits of various international financial statements.
- Preparation and review of international financial surveys.
- Business partnering with Legal/Tax/VAT/Technical accounting teams.
- Ensuring proper documentation of reconciliations for internal & external audits.
- Liaising with other accounting teams and stakeholders.
- Ensuring SOX compliance and standardization of key accounting processes.
- Completing investigations and data analysis as requested.
- Focusing on timely and accurate financial accounting and reporting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a corporate environment.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and strong financial analysis skills.
- Strong Excel skills; NetSuite knowledge is a plus.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Ability to work with little supervision and meet tight deadlines.
- Enthusiastic and adaptable.
- B2+ level of English.
