CVX Ventures is seeking a dynamic and strategic Venture Director to lead their Danish division in Copenhagen. The Venture Director will be responsible for shaping the company's vision, driving operational excellence, and ensuring long-term profitability. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a natural ability to build trust and connections with people, is extremely driven and hands-on, and is able to inspire a high-performance team.

CVX believes the best investors provide entrepreneurs with the right knowledge, experience, and network for their specific phase and industry. CVX always invests with and through the best business angels for each entrepreneur, with over 600 angel investor partners who invest in and support companies where they can add real value. CVX currently consists of 20 ambitious and talented individuals in Copenhagen, London & Oslo.
Role Involves:
- Defining and executing strategy and continuously adjusting it.
- Leading the Danish expansion, including potential acquisitions.
- Being responsible for Denmark's profit & loss and overall operations.
- Quickly building a large and value-creating pool of partners.
- Developing and leading a top-class team of 15 people within sales, board work, events & members, and marketing.
- Finding and attracting the best investment cases.
- Leading investment deals from sourcing to investment.
- Representing CVX at events, gatherings, conferences, etc.
- Reporting directly to the CEO.
Requirements:
- High work ethic with a strong sense of urgency.
- Unusually strong drive and a desire to be the best in your field.
- 5+ years of experience, preferably within management consulting, investment banking, venture capital, high-growth startups, or fast-paced work environments.
- Proactive approach and ability to take ownership of everything you do.
- Deep interest in venture capital and the startup environment with a passion for analyzing and investing in companies.
- People-focused with the ability to bring people together.
- Ability to effectively communicate with management and board level.
- Ability to win trust from business leaders.
- Excellent analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
- Proven success in achieving and exceeding revenue goals.
- Natural ability to sell and work with sales both strategically and operationally.
- Strong leadership skills, and we would like to see that you have previously led and managed teams.
- Fluent in Danish and English.
- Preferably a network in the Danish startup ecosystem.
