Job Description
Ocado Technology is seeking an Engineering Technician to maintain the automated Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) in Purfleet. The Engineering Technician will be the first line of response for engineering faults, diagnosing and resolving issues to maintain performance. They will also perform planned servicing and repairs, and participate in improvement projects.
Role Involves:
- Responding to engineering faults and resolving issues.
- Carrying out planned servicing and repairs.
- Participating in proactive improvement projects.
- Working with automation hardware/software and control systems.
- Working a shift pattern to support 24/7 operation.
Requirements:
- Technical understanding of automation hardware/software and control systems.
- Formal engineering qualification preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise and share knowledge effectively.
- Comfortable working at height using access equipment.
