Canonical is seeking a Graduate Talent Scientist to join their Talent Science team. This role is pivotal in ensuring objective, scientifically rigorous, and efficient hiring processes across the company's global operations. The Talent Science team works closely with stakeholders to make informed decisions and maintain a world-class talent selection model.
The Talent Scientist will contribute to the talent agenda by implementing effective hiring strategies and leveraging data to drive insights. This position requires an analytical mindset, a high level of curiosity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Role Involves:
- Assessing candidates using behavioral interview techniques.
- Understanding the use of psychometrics in the workplace.
- Working on process and documentation efficiencies.
- Contributing to projects that drive successful hiring outcomes.
- Building stakeholder relationships to design and implement solutions.
- Gaining a deep understanding of Canonical's systems and platforms.
- Providing ticket support and answering company channel questions.
Requirements:
- Exceptional academic track record with a degree in psychology or a related field.
- Advanced analytical ability using SQL, Python, and/or R.
- Exposure to talent acquisition through coursework, internships, or jobs.
- Passion for working in the technology space.
- Results-driven with strong project management skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English with presentation skills.
- Drive, ambition, and curiosity in the talent field.
- Ability to travel internationally twice a year.
