Job Description

Cobalt is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their innovative team and play a pivotal role in redefining cybersecurity. The DevOps Engineer will leverage their expertise in DevOps and cloud infrastructure to drive advancements in Cobalt's Pentest as a Service (PtaaS) platform. What this role involves:

• Deploying, managing, and optimizing GKE clusters to run containerized applications.
• Ensuring scalability, availability, and security of microservices in Kubernetes.
• Implementing service mesh solutions (e.g., Istio, Linkerd) and traffic management strategies.
• Designing and maintaining cloud resources using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Automating provisioning, scaling, and configuration management.
• Implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintaining observability tools.
• Proactively monitoring system health, detecting anomalies, and resolving performance bottlenecks.
• Establishing incident response workflows and participating in on-call rotations.
• Managing and optimizing cloud databases (Cloud SQL, Firestore, Spanner, BigQuery) to ensure efficient data storage and access.
• Implementing database backup, replication, and failover strategies.
• Enforcing IAM policies, role-based access control (RBAC), and network security best practices.
• Ensuring compliance with SOC 2, HIPAA, or other industry standards as required.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in Cloud Operations, DevOps, or SRE roles.
• Strong expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, especially GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, and IAM.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and service meshes.
• Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Solid experience with CI/CD tools.
• Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and tracing tools.
• Understanding of networking, security best practices, and database management in a cloud environment.
