Senior Credit Analyst, Personal Borrowing at Monzo

Monzo is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to join its Borrowing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing credit and pricing strategies for unsecured lending products, contributing to the company's mission of revolutionizing personal credit. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to build profitable lending portfolios and enhance customer experiences.

Responsibilities include:

• Improving credit underwriting processes.
• Designing and implementing new lending strategies.
• Monitoring and refining existing strategies.
• Collaborating with engineering, marketing, product, risk, and control teams.
• Developing and maintaining credit models.
• Building and maintaining database tables and dashboards.
• Supporting the launch of new products and customer journeys.
• Assessing the performance of lending portfolios.

Requirements include:

• Experience in unsecured retail lending (personal loans, credit cards, overdrafts, etc.).
• Understanding of the unsecured retail lending market.
• Understanding of lending economics and underwriting strategies.
• Strong analytical and data capabilities (SQL is essential, Python and Looker are a plus).
• Knowledge of UK lending regulations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Project management and coordination experience.
• Team collaboration skills.
